Melbourne Quarter West (MQW)

Melbourne Quarter West is located in the Melbourne Quarter mixed-use development precinct that comprises office, retail, cafes and nightlife, residential, and public open spaces, including Melbourne’s first elevated park, Sky Park. The precinct and MQW are conveniently located to the Southern Cross Station and Melbourne’s tram network and walking distance to the centre of Melbourne’s CBD. Once complete it will feature 45 storeys, a total of 797 apartments, and 125 parking spaces, with access to dedicated on-site concierge and first-class amenities and communal facilities including a bowling alley, golf simulator, 25 metre lap pool, Karaoke and music studio, pet and BBQ facilities, Resident Lounge on level 40 featuring private dining spaces and library and so much more.

We look forward to welcoming our first residents in January 2026.

Commencement of Box Hill Project
"The Hills of Carmel" (Residential Land Subdivision)

Since 2018, Daiwa House in partnership with Odakyu Australia, began the land subdivision project ‘The Hills of Carmel’ in Box Hill, the popular Northwest Growth Corridor of Sydney. The Land Subdivision opportunity spans 89 hectares that once complete will deliver 1,598 residential lots to the precinct. Since May 2023 the community have had the benefit of the Carmel Village Shopping Centre and in January 2025 welcomed the opening of the Box Hill Public School.

With close proximity to the Rouse Hill Metro and Rouse Hill Shopping Centre, The Hills of Carmel is a destination of choice for lots of our new residents and their families.

We very much look forward to, upon completion, delivering a vibrant and interconnected community at The Hills of Carmel.

2019

Completed - “The Flour Mill of Summer Hill”2019
- Stages 3 and 4 (Mixed Use Masterplan Community)

Background

The historic and heritage listed 2.4 hectares Flour Mill site was revitalised and repurposed into a successful master-planned ‘village’ community featuring 360 apartments, terrace houses and retail and commercial created public spaces spread over 11 separate buildings, all uniquely positioned around a central plaza, Mungo Scott Plaza and Harvest Park and easily accessible by light rail, the train and bus networks. The Flour Mill also features the fortnightly community Flour Mill Markets bringing further connectivity to the precinct.

The completion of Stages 3 and 4 in February 2019 completed the delivery of the project and featured 135 and 99 residential apartments respectively as well as the conversion of the six-storey heritage listed Mungo Scott Building into a commercial and retail hub as well as the transformation of the 4 Durum Silos into 56 apartments of varying sizes.

Daiwa House Australia acquired 100% interest in the Rawson Group in February 2018.

Rawson Group was established in 1978 from its humble beginnings in Country NSW and has grown to be one of the largest and trusted builders and land developers across NSW & the ACT.

2018

Completed - “Tempo Drummoyne”
(Mixed Use Development)

The joint venture between Daiwa House, EG Funds Management and Cosmos Australia delivered Tempo, Drummoyne, a mixed-use development comprising three separate buildings located along the main arterial road, comprising 164 residential and complemented by vibrant cafes and retail shops.

Tempo features three unique undulating street frontages, and the distinctive Laughing Kookaburra mural painted on the south-east wall by Dutch artist, Amok Island, reflects the rich, natural beauty of the suburb of Drummoyne.

Tempo was designed by renowned architects Fender Katsalidis and features landscaped winter gardens and views of the Harbour Bridge, Sydney CBD and water views across to Iron Cove Bridge.

Stages 1 and 2 were completed in 2017 and supported by the award-winning architects HASSELL in consultation with the community to bring modern design to the industrial heritage and culture of the precinct. We were able to repurpose 6 of the pre-existing silos and deliver for Stage 1, 9 terrace houses and 34 apartments across two new buildings and for Stage 2, a total of 83 luxury apartments.

Completed - “The Inlet”
- Condominium Project

“The Inlet” is the first development for Daiwa House Australia located in Main Beach Queensland, featuring a 35 storey resident only apartment building with expansive views over the surrounding beaches, rivers, the Surfers Paradise Skyline, Macintosh Island and the Hinterland.
